Dell Latitude 5310 Core i5 10th Gen 8/256 GB (Used)

The Dell Latitude 5310 (2020) with 10th Gen Core i5 is the same excellent 13.3-inch business ultrabook I described earlier, but in its more common (and more affordable) i5 configurations instead of the higher-end i7/vPro models.

Key Differences/Specs for i5-10th Gen Versions

• Processor Most units ship with:
  • Core i5-10210U (4 cores/8 threads, 1.6–4.2 GHz, 15 W)
  • Core i5-10310U (4 cores/8 threads, 1.7–4.4 GHz, vPro version – common in corporate purchases) A few late 2020/early 2021 units have the slightly improved i5-10310U vPro or even the 6-core i5-10510U, but the vast majority are the 10210U/10310U.
• Performance in 2025 Perfectly adequate for Office 365, Zoom/Teams, 20–30 browser tabs, light photo editing, coding, etc. Noticeably slower than modern 12th–15th Gen chips in heavy multi-threaded tasks, but still snappy for everyday business/student use and far better than 8th/9th Gen quads.

Everything else is identical to the i7 version:

• Design & Build Aluminum chassis, 1.22–1.32 kg (clamshell) or ~1.42 kg (2-in-1), MIL-STD-810H durable, extremely portable.
• Display 13.3" FHD (1920×1080) IPS, non-touch or touchscreen (2-in-1 is always touch with Gorilla Glass and optional pen support), 300–400 nits typical, ~95–100% sRGB on good panels.
• Memory & Storage 8 GB or 16 GB LPDDR3-2133 soldered standard, but many configurations have two SODIMM slots → upgradeable to 32 GB or even 64 GB DDR4 (one of the very few 13″ ultrabooks that still lets you do this).
• Battery Life Still outstanding — 42 Wh or 60 Wh options routinely give 10–15 hours of real-world use. One of the longest-lasting 13-inch Windows laptops of its generation.
• Ports & Connectivity 2× Thunderbolt 3, 2× USB-A, HDMI 2.0, microSD, headphone jack, optional WWAN. Wi-Fi 6 + Bluetooth 5.1.
• Keyboard & Trackpad Excellent backlit keyboard (slightly shallow but very precise), large glass trackpad.
• Security TPM 2.0, optional fingerprint reader, IR camera (Windows Hello), privacy shutter, optional contactless SmartCard.

Pros (i5 models specifically)

• Cheaper than i7 versions (refurb prices often $50–100 less)
• Slightly better battery life and lower heat than the 6-core i7-10810U
• Still fully upgradeable RAM — huge advantage over almost all modern 13″ ultrabooks
• Quiet and cool in normal use

Cons (same as i7)

• Only 4 cores → not future-proof for very heavy workloads
• Display is good but not exceptional by 2025 standards
• No full-size SD card slot
